If you've been having trouble with an art block or inability to get inspired, come by and work with our painting teacher Matt to help finish your painting. He is skilled in watercolor, acrylic and oil along with the ability to drawing anything you can imagine.

Cremation Glass Consultation: Incorporating Cremation ashes into glass

If you've lost someone or a pet and have their ashes from being cremated, we can work with you to create a special commemorative piece of glass art to include those remains. Feel free to drop in or make a reservation for a timeslot if you would like more of a guarantee for someone to be available
Cremation can be made into necklaces, bracelets, charms, desktop marbles or other memorial pieces. Reach out to us and we can schedule a visit to review your ideas and get a plan in place for the project. Costs vary by size of project. Smaller pendant necklaces will start at about $50 and increase depending on complexity

Classes

This workshop is a full 6hr project designed to work through the process of creating your very own mobile out of stained glass. We will provide all supplies including the propagation tubes for the projects. Please reach out if you have any inquiries.

In this beginner class, students will create a simple stained glass project which will be soldered to a stainless steel rod to safely add to your garden.

In this three hour session, we will work with you to create your very own one of a kind piece of stained glass art, no prior experience required! Students can choose from multiple designs, ranging from delightful gnomes to leaves and mushrooms. In this class we will be choosing our glass pieces and soldering them together to create a finished piece.
Students will be working with materials such as lead based solder and soldering flux, and should be comfortable handling these materials as well as hot irons. Students should wear closed toed shoes and avoid wearing loose clothing.

Notice! This is an advanced 2-DAY class and requires previous experience working with stained glass and want to know if it is something they would like to invest in. Each class will be 2-3 hrs long. The second class will occur on the same day on the following week.

We will design, cut, grind, foil, frame and solder your projects in this 2-day intensive.

No prerequisites, tools, supplies or experience required for this class. You will learn various techniques for making round beads and adding dots as surface designs. Make as many beads as you want in this two hour class.

This intro to borosilicate lampworking/flameworking will include a safety and basic torch orientation before transitioning into learning the fundamentals of flameworking. Students will operate their own torch to create their glass pieces. Each student will make 2 or more completed pieces during this class. Glass will need to anneal overnight in our kiln and will be available for pick up or shipment to your home.
Please wear closed toed shoes and cotton clothing to this class. Didymium glasses and optional leather aprons will be provided to each student.

In this 2hr class, students will learn to operate a torch creating their own hot glass jewelry. The first hour will be learning beadmaking with soft glass (104 COE) on a steel mandrel. In the second hour, students will transition to borosilicate (33 COE) glass to create one or two necklace pendants. From this Intro class, students will be able to create 5-10 beads and 1-2 pendants. Students can pick them up next-day after the pieces have had a chance to anneal or we can ship afterward.
This class is designed for students with no prior experience using a torch or working with hot glass. After this intro class, students will have the confidence and experience to transition into a follow-up class for a specific style they would like to gain deeper technique development
