Beginner: Stained Glass Projects

In this two hour session, we will work with you to create your very own one of a kind piece of stained glass art, no prior experience required! Students can choose from multiple designs, ranging from delightful gnomes to leaves and mushrooms. Pieces will be pre cut and foiled. In this class we will be choosing our glass pieces and soldering them together to create a finished piece.

Students will be working with materials such as lead based solder and soldering flux, and should be comfortable handling these materials as well as hot irons. Students should wear closed toed shoes and avoid wearing loose clothing. Appropriate cleaning soaps n’ such provided

Beginner Beadmaking

Intro to fused glass, set of (4) coasters

5 hrs··$150

No experience required, sudents will create one complete set of (4) fused glass coasters.

Create your own decorative glass coasters! In this first introductory class, you'll cut and layer small pieces of glass to create a unique set of four coasters. We will fire them in the kiln, fusing the pieces together. After they have been fused, we will meet again briefly to share our results and to pick up your coaster set.

Beginner: Color Swirl Glass Pendants

This intro to borosilicate lampworking/flameworking will include a safety and basic torch orientation before transitioning into learning the fundamentals of flameworking. Students will operate their own torch to create their glass pieces. Each student will make 2 or more completed pieces during this class. Glass will need to anneal overnight in our kiln and will be available for pick up or shipment to your home.

Please wear closed toed shoes and cotton clothing to this class. Didymium glasses and optional leather aprons will be provided to each student.
